Splash.net.au (and more recently splashmarketing.com.au
and splashmarketing.global) has been online since 1994, longer than most marketing websites in the world. It actually precedes Google by one year and was registered 1 Year after Yahoo was named.
23 years is too long to tell the full story here ... but I will write a blog about the dramas, joys, successes, failures and interesting characters that have passed through Splash doors in that time.
I have tried to preserve some of the stuff from 1996+, it looks pretty cr..py now, but it is a record of what websites looked like in the beginning, don't laugh at our museum. We will leave it there until completely illegible.
Longevity comes from understanding that business is a sine wave, albeit a very long one this time. Too many businesses fail to plan for the sine wave ... it is now important to have the ability to shrink and expand as needed, because that is what happens to our economy.
After a 6 year rest from Technology Agencies to focus on the light construction industry, 2017 we are putting down some roots in the Wide Bay Districts of Queensland and look forward to developing a new full service Marketing Agency here.
I have been a resident of Hervey Bay since 2013 but kept a low profile as I travelled the world making new contacts.
Splash will continue to have our key presences in Sydney and satellites in China and Dubai, including the other 140 international office locations we have available to us.
We plan to set up an Australian Technological Call centre to take back some of the call centre work handed over to international suppliers, whom sadly have been killing off more business than supporting the companies that use them.
Our Marketing Services Agency and Call Centre will be different to those we have created in the past ... in that we will call upon the experience of a part time work force, made up mostly of people whom have been in key roles in their lives, but have taken the sea change to slow down enjoy a more relaxed lifestyle.
